New album of remixes and new video for Bloc Party

Bloc Party will release an album of remixes entitled Intimacy Remixed containing pieces of previous album of 2008, Intimacy, remixed by various DJs and artists, among whom Mogwai, No Age and Filthy Dukes. New Maximo Park: tracklist and release date

The new Maximo Park album, Quicken the Heart, will be released on Special Edition CD+DVD, CD, LP and Download through Warp Records on 11th May 2009. The special edition is composed from the CD album and a DVD with an hour of video taken from the show at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena in December 2007. The DVD include other live performances and exclusive backstage footage. A clip from the DVD is available on the homepage of the official site of the band. The first 2000 copies of the special edition of the album (pre-ordered) will be signed by a member of the band.

Two new songs from Nations Afire

Nations Afire posted two new songs on their MySpace page. The band is formed by members of Rise Against (Chris Chasse), Ignite (Brett Rasmussen, Nik Hill), Death By Stereo (Todd Hennig) and Reach The Sky. The first shows of Nations Afire will be on festival Bamboozle Left (California), Groezrock Festival (Belgium), followed by a European tour. The first album is planned to be released on March/April.

Lamb of God: the new album Wrath score first positions on the charts

The new album of Lamb of God, Wrath, has scored first positions in many international charts in the first week. On Canadian charts score the position #1, in the United States the #2, in Australia #8. Other charts position include: Japan: #14, Norway: #20, U.K.: #25, Netherlands: #52 and Germany: #61. The album sold 68,000 copies in the USA in the first week, near his predecessor, Sacrament, who sold 63,000 copies in the first week, and double of the previous album, Ashes of the Wake, who sold 35,000 copies in its first week.

Wrath was produced by Josh Wilbur, and recorded in New York, Virginia, and new Hampshire. His release date on North America was February 24 on Epic label. Outside of US the cd was issued by Roadrunner Records.

4 is the number of configuration for the album: LP, CD, CD deluxe edition whith bonus CD, super deluxe edition. The band kicks off the Wrath Tour April 2 in Phoenix, Arizona. Supporting band are As I Lay Dying, Children of Bodom, God Forbid and Municipal Waste.

Faith No More reunion: lineup and first rehearsal

Faith No More, after announcing the reunion reveal the lineup: Mike Patton (vocals), Jon Hudson (guitar), Bill Gould (bass), Mike Bordin (drums) and Roddy Bottum (keyboards). The classic lineup missing only Jim Martin (guitar) who left the group in 1993. In its place Jon Hudson who played in the period before the dissolution of the FNM that occurred in 1998. Also starting today (March 4) the rehearsal after over ten years since the dissolution, according to the bassist Bill Gould on Twitter.

Full profit from the sales go to Médecins Sans Frontières, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam America. After Dark Was the Night and War Child presents Heroes, this is the third compilation to go out this year.
