Mastodon perform the entire new album, Crack the Skye, in the next tour

The alternative metal group of Atlanta, Mastodon, will run the new Crack the Skye album (out on March 24 for Warner Bros.) entirely in the next tour. This is an absolute novelty for the group, but the guitarist Bill Kelliher says that "there is something that would be strange not running all the pieces." The group also hopes to make a short film by all the tracks, and the same Kelliher said to be the version of the Mastodon of The Wall.

Everything starts at the Coachella festival in April, which will follow the tour in Europe in support of Metallica. The fans in Atlanta will have the opportunity to follow the event in preview last night (feb. 28), when the group will be the headliner at a festival which includes 40 heavy metal groups. The festival will be held at the Masquerade nightclub.

Box set of 7" for Jesus Lizard

The Touch & Go will publish on the Record Store Day, April 18, Inch, a box set of 7 " out of print from the group of Chicago Jesus Lizard. The box set will be available only in stores distributions of independent music.

Different 7 " included in the box set are out of print from at least 6 years. Bob Weston of Shellac has remastered all of the singles, which will be published in a clear plastic package. Inch include Puss, the side of the Jesus Lizard split registered with the Nirvana in 1993, as well as Gladiator, sold only at a concert in London in 1992 and was never sold on another occasion.

The Jesus Lizard have reformed after a dissolution lasted over 10 years. The first concert of the reunion will be held all'ATP's The Fans Strike Back festival to be held in Minehead, England from 8 to May 10. The group also will perform at the London Forum's on May 11 and Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, to be held between 28 and May 30. Other dates will be added later.

Box set of rarities of Jane's Addiction

Will be published April 21 by Rhino A Cabinet of Curiosities, a limited edition box set containing rare tracks of Jane's Addiction. The box set contains three CDs and 1 DVD included in a wooden case. The first disc contains the original demo from the period 1986-87, the second contains other demos and several live cuts and covers of bands like Grateful Dead, Stooges, Led Zeppelin and Do not Call Me Nigger, Whitey of Sly and the Family Stone performed with Ice-T. Bobhouse is the result of a mix between the music of Burning From the Inside of the Bauhaus, and the text of Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan. The third CD contains a full concert of December 1990.

The DVD contains Soul Kiss, known documentary produced by the group and not yet available on DVD, as well as several video clips, including that of Mountain Song, banned by MTV.

The Rhino will publish at the Record Store Day, April 18, an edition of 180 gram vinyl of the album Nothing's Shocking (1988) and Ritual de lo Habitual (1990).

Reunion of Faith No More for some European dates

Faith No More have announced their first live performances since have been disbanded in 1998. The group will perform in several European festivals this summer, while no date has been set in the United States. The exhibition in April at the Coachella Festival will be held by only Mike Patton with collaborator Rahzel.

Have not been disclosed nor the lineup nor the dates of the festival in which the group will perform. The spokeswoman of Mike Patton, Monica Seide, said no other details are currently available.

The Dinosaur Jr. signed with Jagjaguwar

The U.S. independent label Jagjaguwar, which already includes groups such as Bon Iver, Black Mountain, Okkervil River, has contracted the Dinosaur Jr. in the original lineup: J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph. The group is currently finalizing the work on the new album to be released by next summer.

Second single for Franz Ferdinand

The second single from Tonight: Franz Ferdinand will be No You Girls, and will be published April 6. Among the remixes, one sees the participation of Vince Clarke, a member of Erasure and Depeche Mode of 1980-81. The single was produced by the group along with Dan Carey and registered at Govan, near Glasgow. At the time the album is not bringing the expected results because, after the initial leap to second place in rankings in the first week of publication, is slipped over the position 20 in the second week already. The first single, Ulysses, went no later than twenty instead of the British charts.

TV on the Radio at Central Park Summerstage

TV on the Radio have announced participation in the Central Park Summerstage in New York. The group will perform June 5 devolving the collection to support the entire season of events of the Central Park Summerstage, which is held every summer in the Manatthan park. Tickets cost $ 30 and go on sale February 27.

Tracks from the Deluxe edition of Pearl Jam album Ten available online

Several pieces from the Deluxe edition of the debut album of Pearl Jam, Ten (1991), are available for listening in streaming on the official MySpace of the group. Among other some tracks came from the unplugged of the group and from the concert performance at the Drop in the Park, which will be available in the Super Deluxe version of the album.

The disc will be released March 24 in 4 different versions. Each version includes the original album in remastered version, a new remix by Brendan O'Brien, six unpublished songs of the same period, while the different editions will contain a live DVD, a vinyl copy of the disk and a duplicate of the original demo 1990 titled Pearl Jam in cassette.
